Iich'aa is a culture-bound syndrome found in Navajo Native American culture, with symptoms including epileptic behavior such as nervousness and convulsions, loss of self-control, self-destructive behavior, and fits of violence and rage. Together with other culture-bound syndromes such as amok in Indonesia, gila mengamok in Malaysia, cafard in Polynesia, and mal de pelea in Puerto Rico, iich'aa can be grouped in the taxon Sudden Mass Assault Syndrome.
