Sangue dormido, literally sleeping blood, is a psychological syndrome reportedly affecting Cape Verdeans and members of the Cape Verdean diaspora. It appears in Appendix I of the revised fourth edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders as a culture-bound syndrome.
