Celebrity Worship Syndrome

Celebrity worship syndrome is an obsessive addictive disorder in which a person becomes overly involved with the details of a celebrity's personal and professional life. Psychologists have noted that although many people obsess over film, television, sport and music stars, the only factor common to all such figures is that they are in the public eye, and written observations of celebrity worship date back to the nineteenth century.
