A psychological phenomenon expressed primarily through the body, whether as a physical symptom generated or amplified by psychological distress, a disturbance of body image or eating behavior, or an observable physical sign such as a motor symptom tied to an underlying psychiatric condition. This group gathers the body-focused and somatic phenomena recorded for this atlas, spanning classic somatization, body image and eating-related conditions through to physical presentations, such as motor signs in catatonia or factitious skin conditions, whose primary expression is bodily rather than purely cognitive or emotional.
