Culture shock is an experience a person may have when moving to a cultural environment that is different from their own. It is also the personal disorientation a person may feel when experiencing an unfamiliar way of life, arising as familiar signs, symbols and expectations of everyday social interaction are replaced by unfamiliar ones the person has not yet learned to read.
