Genophobia

Genophobia, also called coitophobia, is the physical or psychological fear of sexual relations or intercourse; the term erotophobia, from the name of the Greek god of erotic love, Eros, can also describe it. Genophobia can induce panic and fear much like a panic attack, and people affected can be intensely affected by attempted sexual contact or even the thought of it, which can cause trouble in romantic relationships. Those with genophobia may avoid relationships to escape the possibility of intimacy, which can in turn lead to feelings of loneliness, sometimes compounded by embarrassment or shame about the fear itself.
