Cyberpsychology, also called Internet psychology, web psychology or digital psychology, is an interdisciplinary scientific field focused on the psychological phenomena that emerge from human interaction with digital technology, particularly Internet use. It explores psychological phenomena in cyberspace, including human behavior and emotion within online environments such as social media, virtual reality and gaming platforms, and it draws on neuroscience, sociology and media studies to understand how digital tools shape both individual and collective experience.
