Learning and Conditioning Phenomena

Groups the phenomena of the psychology atlas whose central finding comes out of behavior analysis and the study of learning: how an organism forms, generalizes, blocks or loses an association through experience, apart from the extinction and spontaneous recovery of an already-learned response, which stay under Clinical and Motivational Phenomena from an earlier wave. Belongs here: conditioned taste aversion, the blocking effect, latent learning, habituation, sensitization and generalization in learning, each a documented pattern in how learning itself proceeds rather than a bias in social judgment, a memory distortion, an unconscious defense or a stage of development. A phenomenon whose central finding concerns a defense mechanism, a judgment bias, a memory effect, a social effect, a perceptual effect or a developmental stage belongs in one of the atlas own other groups instead.
