Perception and Psychophysics Effects

Groups the phenomena of the psychology atlas whose central finding concerns how a stimulus is perceived, timed or sensed, rather than how a belief is judged, a memory is recalled or another person is read. Belongs here: Tachypsychia, a distortion of subjective time perception under exertion, drugs or a traumatic event, and the Weber-Fechner Law, which relates the size of a physical stimulus change to how large that change is actually perceived to be. A phenomenon whose distortion concerns a judgment, a choice or a memory rather than the raw perception of a stimulus itself is filed under one of the other three groups instead.
