Somatoparaphrenia

Somatoparaphrenia is a delusional condition in which a person denies that a limb, or an entire side of their body, belongs to them, and constructs an elaborate false explanation of whose it actually is even when shown clear evidence to the contrary; in some cases the person treats the disowned limb as a separate entity requiring its own care. The condition predominantly affects the left arm and commonly occurs together with left-sided paralysis and anosognosia, the unawareness of that paralysis, though research shows it can also occur without paralysis, so the two are not strictly linked.
