Anne Roe was an American clinical psychologist known for her research on the psychology of occupations and scientific creativity. Her books The Making of a Scientist (1953) and The Psychology of Occupations (1956) examined how personality and early experience shape career choice, particularly among scientists. In 1963 she became the ninth woman to attain tenure at Harvard University and the first woman tenured in its Faculty of Education.
