Leona Tyler

Leona Elizabeth Tyler was an American psychologist who served as president of the American Psychological Association in 1973. She earned her doctorate in counseling psychology from the University of Minnesota in 1940 and spent her entire academic career at the University of Oregon, later serving as dean of its graduate school. Her research focused on vocational interests, individual differences and human development, and she developed the Choice Pattern Technique to study how people organize their career and life decisions.
