Douglas T. Kenrick is an American psychologist and professor of psychology at Arizona State University whose research integrates evolutionary psychology, cognitive science and dynamical systems theory. He has published more than 170 scientific articles, books and book chapters applying evolutionary ideas to human cognition and behavior, including studies on how mate preferences for age and attractiveness vary across cultures and relationship stages, and research on how evolutionary motivations shape social behaviors such as conformity, creativity and consumer spending.
