Suzanne Corkin was an American professor of neuroscience in the Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences at MIT and a leading scholar in neuropsychology and cognitive neuroscience. She is best known for her research on human memory, studied in patients with Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease and amnesia, and in particular for her decades-long study of the amnesic patient known as H.M., whom she met in 1962 and continued to study until his death in 2008.
