Neal E. Miller

Health Psychology

Neal Elgar Miller was an American experimental psychologist whose research on visceral responses and behavior helped found the field of behavioral medicine, particularly through his work on biofeedback. He taught at Yale, Rockefeller and Cornell universities and was a founding member of Yale's Institute of Human Relations, and a 2002 survey ranked him the eighth most cited psychologist of the twentieth century.
