Situational and Environmental Phobias

A specific phobia triggered by a particular situation, place, weather condition or natural environment, including the classic situational phobias such as enclosed spaces and open or public spaces alongside phobias of specific natural phenomena and forms of travel. This group gathers the situational and environmental phobias recorded under Psychology's Specific Phobias group, spanning fears of heights, confined spaces, deep water, darkness, storms and other weather, and travel by specific means such as flying, driving or trains, each identified by its own specific phobia term in the clinical literature.
