Herpetophobia

Herpetophobia is a common specific phobia consisting of a fear of or aversion to reptiles, most commonly lizards and snakes, and similar vertebrates such as amphibians. It is one of the most widespread animal phobias, closely related to ophidiophobia, and can produce reactions ranging from mild anxiety to a panic attack or, most commonly, nausea, depending on whether the sufferer merely sees a reptile, must touch one, or simply knows one is nearby.
