Susan Fiske

Susan Tufts Fiske is an American psychologist who served as the Eugene Higgins Professor of Psychology and Public Affairs at Princeton University until her retirement in 2023. She is a social psychologist known for her work on social cognition, stereotypes and prejudice, and her theoretical contributions include the stereotype content model, ambivalent sexism theory, the power as control theory and the continuum model of impression formation, developed at Princeton's Intergroup Relations, Social Cognition and Social Neuroscience Lab that she led.
