Psychology and the Humanities

Groups the branches that examine psychology's connection to the humanities and to human creative and intellectual pursuits: Moral Psychology studies how people reason about right and wrong, Psychology of Art and Psychology of Music study the mental and emotional processes behind creating and experiencing the visual and musical arts, Psychology of Religion studies religious belief, experience and practice, and Psychology of Science studies the psychological habits of mind behind scientific reasoning and discovery. A branch whose primary subject is a clinical, social or biological question rather than a humanistic or intellectual pursuit belongs elsewhere.
